It is constructed from vinyl with deeply inlaid mineral crystal particles (patent pending) and coloured chips for a decorative design. Contains no Carborundum.
Our Community Centre is a great venue with a vast array of modern facilities. Whatever type of event you wish to hold, we have a flexible space for you.
We have meeting rooms to hire for corporate events and a large hall that is the perfect place to create a spectacular wedding reception or party venue. Our versatile rooms can be tailored to your individual requirements in terms of layout and decoration.
Our excellent facilities are available to hire by all people, businesses and organisations across South Gloucestershire and the UK. As a non-profit making charity, we are committed to reinvesting all funds back into the centre and the Thornbury community.
About Turnberries
Turnberrie’s is a Community Centre in the heart of the market town of Thornbury, South Gloucestershire.
We are owned by South Gloucestershire Council and managed and maintained under lease by the Thornbury Community Building Trust (TCBT).The Trust was formed as a charity (No. 1118127) in 2006 in anticipation of the new building which opened in 2007. TCBT is made up of Trustees whose aim is to ensure that the building serves the needs of the Thornbury community and reinvests funds back into the centre.
This is also the home of a Youth Centre, run by Krunch.
Turnberrie’s is the name which Thornbury had in 1086, at the time of William the Conqueror, and as recorded in the Domesday or Doomsday Book.
So Turnberrie’s means belonging to Thornbury.
The Community Garden
Thornbury Community garden is a lovely space to spend time in.  It can be used as a place to relax or to meet friends. Children’s groups are welcome to come and look around. It is run by a group of dedicated volunteers. Find out more on their website.
